As you enjoy warm family gatherings and cozy meals at home this holiday season, our skilled team is working hard to provide reliable and timely heating services across Cape Cod. In order for them to perform their job to the best of their abilities, they need a clear path to your home.

We want to take a moment to remind you to keep your walkways clear of snow and debris this winter. It could mean the difference in receiving your heating service or fuel oil delivery!

Remember to Shovel Safely!

South Shore Heating & Cooling takes shoveling, as well as the health and safety of our customers, very seriously. Before you bundle up this winter, please keep these shoveling safety tips in mind.

  1. Warm up your muscles before you begin.

  2. Whenever possible, push the snow, don't lift.

  3. When you need to lift, bend at the knees and use your legs, not your back.

  4. Take a break after 20 - 30 minutes.

  5. Listen to your body. If you’re tired or something doesn’t feel right, it’s time to stop.

  6. Shovel as soon as possible after the storm ends, when the snow is at its lightest and fluffiest.

If you are unable to shovel yourself, please ask a friend or neighbor for assistance and let us know ahead of time. South Shore Heating & Cooling thanks you for keeping your sidewalks, paths, and driveways clear for our service technicians.
